i bought a mustang

Post by robroe »

bass.

its the oly white / tort one from japan. i saw it in guitar center in Binghamton NY hanging on the wall used for 299.

its got a small ding in the top of the upper horn. everything else is perfect. its a Q series....gotta look up the date.

after watching squier put up on its website the sonic blue 60's p-bass i was prepared to drop 299 on that at the end of the month. hahaha fuck that now i got a mustang bass for the same price......

...so i still need to sell my robOG squier J-bass. its black with a robOG white pearl pickguard.

299 is a fuckin steal!!!!!!!!!! of all the guitar centers i have been in over the years, this is the first one i have ever had a good experience in. go Binghamton NY GC !!!!

the dumbasses had a dakota red 60's mustang on the wall for 1999,99. hahaha fuck you binghamton NY GC !!!!!

Sweet, do you like the pickups? I think if pbass p-ups were installed it's be badass. Great features, string thru body and nice tuners. I want one too (same at GC but new 550 errh!) $299 rocks. Did GC give you tax exemption even if you didn't have the proper paper work? They did for me and it seems tons of other I know, handing them out like candy.

Pic?

in the store, the usually ask for your name or number for warrenty stuff, but if you make/sale music you can get tax exemption because your music gear is for "work/money making" they have you fill out paper work and then you buy stuff and they ask for your number or name and its automatic no tax.

If you go there again just ask about tax exemption.

serious?

there was like a 30 page thread all about it.

like day by day photos of me filling in all the holes in it, and rewiring the whole thing with the duckbucker ...... and then using the cowbell mod for the duckbucker to get it into the solid cover?

Yup! I bought my Bronco at the same time and threw the duckbucker in there too. Your project was a definite inspiration.
One of the most surprising pickups ever. I loved it! Definitely put it in any future Strat-like projects (god forbid).
