jag/jazzmaster guys, how often do you use the upper switches

so i'm considering some things for a new project, and i like to keep things simple. how often do you use the rhythm channel switches on the upper portion of the pickguard? never having owned a jag or jazzmaster before, i don't know if i would use it, so does anyone have any clips, or comments on it?

I find the Jazzy/jag switches useless. that's just me though.

I would mind having a Jazzy that had switches mods that I would find useful. I don't know what what that would be though....

i use all the switches on my jaguar.
the bass cut switch is my favorite when coupled with a fuzz pedal.

I like the bass cut on the Jag, I like that on a lot of guitars, because sometimes I like to nauseate myself with lots of treble.

I never use the ryhtm circuit on my Jazzmaster.

i used to use mine on my av jag ALL the time.
it worked out so well with micci finn that when i sold it i actually change a few tunes around cuz i didn't have the ease of the rythm circut anymore.
i miss that guitar......

There are a couple songs that I use the rhythm circuit on, but I usually stick to the bridge pickup or middle position for most of my playing. I've been thinking about simplifying my CIJ Jazzmaster by removing the circuit, though. I'd just leave the stuff in there, but not wire it.

I would always replace the rhythm circuit with a series/parallel switch on the two pickups and just forget the rollers.

Maybe on a Jaguar it makes more sense but on the Jazzmaster that circuit was useless to me.

Conversely, I've always loved the rhthym circuit on my jazzy. Yet, hardly use it on my jag.

For the record, only one is a switch, the other two are potentiometers, essentially mounted sideways so they're like rollers sticking out of the surface. The switch activate this circuit, which is neck pickup only with slightly different capacitors and potentiometers, I believe. I'm sorry if you knew this and didn't mean to say switches, but if you didn't, I hope that helps.

I use it... to switch the settings to the toggle in case it's not at the bottom position already.
