Fret Buzzz

Post by vivadeluxxe »

I've just bought a Burns Marquee Bass from Ebay...
Pretty cheap as well, and the guy I bought it from is Graham Coxon's bass player which is quite interesting...
However, I got it this weekend, and it has an enormous amount of fret buzz...
I've tried messing with the bridge and the truss rod, but I can't get rid of it... anyone got any advice before I have to pay out to have a guitar shop look at it

Buzzing could be from a lot of things. If it's actually fret buzz, it could be from uneven frets. You can also get buzzing from something loose on the guitar. A loose tuning key or bridge. A broken brace inside a acoustic or archtop will cause buzzing. Take it to a professional repair shop. They'll track it down and fix it.
