I don't know if you guys have Aldi up there but what it's supposed to be is a budget grocery store. I think it first popped up in Germany and has just moved to AUS. And as bad as these would be... I reckon they look fair cool.

Heck I reckon if someone can cut that headstock into shape, or at least round it off, and replace some of the parts you could have a very useable guitar there. I really dig the shape too. I doubt I could justify buying another SC guitar but hell... why can't any other companies come up with slightly obscure body shapes like this? I likes it. What are your opinions?

p.s. lolz at the idea of listing the 3-ply pick guard as a 'feature'!

We also have Lidl

There's a story that the two chains are owned by rival brothers. Apparently not, the brothers ran two areas, Aldi Nord and Aldi Sud. Aldi Sud is the one that's expanding overseas as Aldi.

Wow, I didn't think they were so well established. I remembered hearing about all this money they made in Europe but we only just started having stores open in our state so it's a new thing to me! Their cheap beer is kinda okay if you're broked! But I prefer Belgian beers myself (Duvel, ect).
Anyway... back on the topic of the geetar. Does anyone know if this body-shape is a copy of something else?
I don't think I've seen anything like it (upper horn, ect). If not then congrats to them!

We have Aldi here - if you want a cart, you have to put a quarter in a little machine. when you bring the cart back, you get yr quarter back.

Yeah, we have that in almost every shop in the UK, except it's not a quarter you put in, it's £1.

THat's like $2!!! - Way more of an incentive then a quarter.
