this is the same mustang that i fixed the headstock on last month.
this re-build is going to require a little more time i think
before you guys get all stupid about how that was a really nice guitar why did he smash it.
1. he asked me if i didn't mind first
2. it was fucking amazing watching it explode all over the wall at Broadway Joes

If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

I don't understand why anyone would do this. It's not really artistic, given that people like Townshend and Cobain have worn it out.
That body is beyond repair, it cracked at the neck joint. If it were just the neck that broke you'd just have to replace it, but based on those pictures the thing is a total loss. I guess you can salvage -some- of it (bridge, trem, tuners, pups, electronics) but beyond that I think the wood is fubar.

i agree with robvondon,
the neck pocket is totally trashed to shit.
the neck is dead.
however: most of the "important" stuff is still intact. i say just buy a new guitar and do something with the remnants.

you guys have no confidence in my skillz
ill fix this fuckin thing. the break at the neck joint was so ragged that there is tons and tons of surface area for the new gluez to stick to. its not like im gluing a flat surface to a flat surface. i think its gonna work. it might not be something that will ever tour again but i think i can save this for a apartment guitar

You did a fine job with fixing it last time, the problem is that now the break is at places that compromise the stability of the entire neck. You might be able to glue this back together, but it will likely have problems with warping, staying in tune, etc.
But good luck. If all else fails, it'd make a pretty cool wall decoration.
