Absolutely gorgeous. Only $300 invested is amazingly cheap for a guitar this cool!

i'm generally not a fan of matching headstocks on these things, but it really seems to work well on this guitar. good job.
where'd you get that decal? the spacing and font look weird on the "musicmaster" part.

they are similar....some had large font and some had small font depending on the year it was made

i've got a musicmaster neck with an original decal. i tried taking a picture just now, but my camera sucks and it came out all blurry.
also, the "fender" part is silver on mine.

That really looks fantastic - great job with the finish. If you ever decide to sell, let us know!
BTW - IDK if you meant to type "fleabay", but "fee-bay" is certainly the most accurate

This is probably the only time I've ever liked an older style pickguard. What a cool guitar. Great work.
Bridge cover coming?

Cool guitar! Nice case too.
Where did you get that bridge? It looks spank'n new! Also, are those compensating saddles? Where did you get those? Are they the same on a tele?

Looking at it again, pretty much the only thing I don't like about this is the kagillion screws on the pickguard. The clay dots almost look out of place, then you remember that it's a vintage neck and it's going to play awesome so it doesn't matter.

I thought they were quite easy to get hold of? I've never really looked in depth but I'm sure I've seen some about.

one shows up on ebay every once in a while and usually goes in the $100-$250 range. way too much for something that's just for show in my opinion.

If you could get one for $30 or under it would be worth it, so I guess no dice.

Thanks everybody.
Robroe: The pickguard is from WD Music. If I remember correctly the tuners are from Allparts.
Bubbles: The decal is from geocha over at Reranch. I have the silver version as well but the gold looked the best to me with the surf green.
DuoSonicBoy: I just got through selling a bunch of stuff on ebay. I did actually mean to call it feebay.
I think I'm going to keep this one but if I ever decide to sell I'll let you know.
DDDave: The bridge plate is one of the nicest I've seen. Unfortunately the saddles had already been robbed from it. The saddles on it now are Allparts tele saddles.

looks fantastic. and it's interesting to me that you have only a neck pickup on it...
