Interesting, was played by a semi-famous band member.

that is fucking awsome!
even if it was not played by someone famous i could see this going for at least 750.00
hate me for saying it, but this thing will be a HOT collectors item in 30 years.

I think Robt is right. They are a surf guitar cult fave. They play cuerdas mas macho! I wonder if that means power chords.

Awesome! ...I bought a Jazzmaster from Matthew Sweet, and he played it on David Letterman in '91 or '92 ..true story.

saw los straightjackets open for tom petty several years back. they're awesome, and this is a great deal on a guitar with a little bit of history in it, let alone a vista series to boot.

well.. the cool thing to me is the matching headstock which AFAIK weren't available on stock vista models. i guess thats linked to the los straitjackets thing... but i find it more intriguing than it having been owned/played by someone semi-famous...

ps. weren't the vista's orignally equipped with a bottom heel truss rod adjuster (like vintage) and then later a bullet-style at the head? This is neither... looks like the countersunk allen-head at the neck ala MIM and other modern Fenders.
