i signed up for this thing and tried it out.

the gear you can add is absolutely dreadful. there's little room for custom instruments, mods and the like. plus, it's your tone, why would you want to share?

hahaha

Soooooo pointless- it's not like every dial on your amp or pedal is a 100000 position rotary switch, nor are you gonna use exact same settings in each environment. If you have trouble remembering your settings, you need to smoke less pot. And/or paintchips.

Erm.

I just leave my amp as it is and then tweak it if it sounds bad. Since when did having exact settings become necessary. Use your ears, start at Midnight and go from there.

Is it bad that I like the same exact settings for every piece of hard ware I come across?

i actually keep a book of settings. i've found some stuff on my pedals i never could again. and my amp is strange so i keep settings for it too.

but uploading them takes a while i imagine. i just scribble on paper in my composition book and done.

Totally! My amp only has 4 knobs and I fiddle with it a bit in every room and on every stage! If you want your shit to sound the same every night do like Meshuggah and bring your own PA system and all use PODs. You'll sound bad, but consistently bad.

I recommend learning to properly use your equipment and understanding what each knob really does. That way it's easy and becomes second nature to tweak your stuff for desired effect.

+1000. Besides that, they didn't even make the site that easy to use. Why can't people be happy with a pack of index cards and some common sense?
