I've looked at those before, they might be great guitars with a few simple upgrades. Shipping to the UK is $98 though, so I could probably get the Squier thinline for the same price.

SWEET - I've been checking like twice a day for these to be posted. I'm thinking the sunburst Tele is relevant to my interests.

That headstock is a travesty. Why even bother with doing something that screams "this headstock is the best we can come up with to avoid a lawsuit".

LAZY

Yeah, I've always wondered about copyrighting laws and how some companies can get away with making super similar models. Nevertheless, the surf green one is quite tantalizing.

Yummy, but I hate Fender copies without a proper headstock. :(

They've got some interesting color options, and they seem like great guitars for the money...but I don't think I could bring myself to playing a knockoff. But who knows, maybe they play/sound just as well as some of the Squier/low-end Fender stuff.

10 minutes with a saw and a little sanding and the headstock can be similar to a fender

Anyone know why Fender managed to copywrite the headstock shape but not the shape of the guitar itself? Seems odd when you think about it.

NO shit. You'd think like, 30 years ago when ibanez started crankng out superstrats they would have caught on.
