White Jaguar knobs available from a guy at offset

Post by James »

link - you'll probably need 50 posts to get to that
link - that one is the thread about them

Bit on the pricey side, but quite cool looking and I considering he's making them himself I doubt you could buy them elsewhere.

I've decided to "open up" for orders on my white Jaguar knobs. As of right now, I have them available with a matte finish. Gloss finish knobs will hopefully be coming later, and will be the same prices as these matte ones, as the same amount of work goes into each knob. I have some pre-made stock, shown in the pictures below, but when those run out, I will continue making them to order.

I have them in two grades. A Grade knobs are as flawless as possible. These are rare unfortunately, as for every "pour" I do I have some throw aways, and a couple of B Grade knobs. B Grade knobs have tiny bubbles or other blemishes in them. Most of these small issues aren't visible unless you're looking for them. Generally, no one is going to notice them when you're rocking out on stage. The jump from B Grade knobs to anything lesser is pretty drastic, and I won't be selling those.

I also have some in-stock, and can always make more, of the smaller Jazz Bass tone knobs. The same process goes into these, so they aren't any less expensive, but know that they are available.

Also, I have two options for the set screws: Silver slotted (these are the actual Fender brand set screws that they sell for amp knobs), and black 5/64" allen. Please specify which you prefer.

A Grade Knobs: $15ea.

B Grade Knobs: $10ea.

Prices are in US dollars, international orders welcome. I prefer PayPal, because it's fastest, but I can also take money orders and even personal checks. Buyer pays actual shipping via their courier of choice. PM me for my PayPal address, or any other buying questions you might have. But please, feel free to use this thread to ask questions about the knobs themselves.

About Bulk Discounts: I welcome larger orders, and can offer discounted prices for them. Please PM me with your quantities and I will reply with a quote.

Custom Order Options: As seen above, I can do epoxy/sparkle knobs as well. I have White, Champagne, and Charcoal glitters currently, and I can order just about any other color for these. The epoxy can be either slight amber-colored or crystal clear. I might be able to do other crazier options as well. Let me know what you have in mind and I'll see what I can do.

He can fuck right off for a £5 a knob for an IMPERFECT one.

I was considering them for pedals until I saw his retarded price structure.

his prices are a little high, but i guess considering that he has to throw away large portions of every batch and that he's just doing this in his spare time, they don't seem too bad.
i think the sparkly are cool, too.

Considering the amount of development and time that went in to these, that's not a bad price at all. This is just one guy working out of his home.

A pack of fags is worth a fiver.
Five cans of lager are worth a fiver.
One plastic imperfect knob is not worth a fiver.

£5 for 3 or 4 (good ones) wouldnt be too bad a price, but I'll doubt he'll ever do that.

That would be reasonable. I pay 50p for the Mustang knobs for my pedals and they're perfect.

my guess is he's invested a fair deal of money and time into these and probably isn't making any sizable profits. comparing his prices to those of a company that mass produces knobs is unfair.
that being said, i think he should've waiting until he perfected the process before he started selling any. i don't know, maybe it's just a way of gaging interest.

The white just doesn't work at all. What was the point?

I like the white knobs. They'd go nice with a pastel color like Sonic Blue or Shell Pink....Perhaps even a metallic like Ice Blue.

I think they look cheesy, they look cheap also. Maybe it's the way he made them, or that style of knob with the white color. It just looks like something that's really cheap.

That's cool. I think Strat knobs look shit on most anything, and most people like those.

I know interest is fairly low in these, but FWIW he's lowered the price of the 'B' grade knobs to $7.50
