dotNuxx Recordings
i figure i may as well do this..
since i pretty much own/operate and run dotNuxx Recordings..
i got a little bored a while back and decided i liked open source audio
so i tossed a bunch of releases that i'm out of stock on, onto the internet
using archive.org and creative commons licenses
check out what you like, ignore what you don't
i'm happy with whatever
also.. feel free to distribute
dotNuxx recordings Catalog
i haven't updated that page in a little bit so i should point out that the cassette "serfx. is dead" is also available for free here
LoFi is dead. long live LoFi

oh and this my (on indefinite hiatus) band (the I.C.B.M.s) first/only EP "the Peet Sessions" (although there are soem interesting live recordings around, and some other tracks recorded that i'll eventually put out, once its all compiled arranged and well then mastered..)
may be worth checking out as all the guitar tracks are recorded with a 71 mustang through a fender twin reverb head on a fm412 half stack
The I.C.B.M.s - Peet Sessions

dotNuxx December Releases: Warehouse Demos / We’re Out There
December 11, 2008 (Edmonton, AB) – dotNuxx Recordings is excited to announce the simultaneous release of albums for local cross-bred bands the I.C.B.M’s and Zero Cool.
Though it’s been over a year since the I.C.B.M.s were last heard from, time spent sifting through lost audio, tapes and riff-raff strewn about the band’s dusty jam space produced “the I.C.B.M.s – dotNuxx Warehouse (demos), a reworked collection of harder, faster, louder songs infused with more fury and – at least according to lead singer Sean the Bastard – less guitar. Their first EP release since “the Peet Sessions (nuxx-008), the next challenge is to trap all four favorite rejects in the same box so they can promote this sucker. The I.C.B.M.s are: Sean The Bastard, Jim Nowhere, Fill McCarthy, J.C. Mike Johnson. Limited to only 11 copies.
the I.C.B.M.s: http://www.theicbms.com
Zero Cool is compiled of the bastard offspring of the I.C.B.M.s, a wandering Elf, and a new kid for a drummer. Zero Cool has hammered out a CD single of tracks previously only available on the acoustic “Pretty (nuxx-011), the newly released “We’re Out There (nuxx-013) being faster, more furious, and more electric than previous releases. Zero Cool will be celebrating, and slightly bemused over, the fact they have merch at the Wunderbar on Dec 13th. Zero Cool are: KP, Jim Nowhere, Fill McCarthy, Andy.

Copies of both “dotNuxx Warehouse (demos) and “We’re Out There are available for purchase at Blackbyrd on Whyte. Or pick up your very own shiny new copy of either or both albums at the Mange, Zero Cool, Zebra Pulse show on Dec. 13 2008 at the Wunderbar (Whyte ave & 101st Street, Edmonton).
