ive really been jonesing for an esquire lately, and the new squier classic vibe guitars look really nice.

#1.

If I didn't have a Telecaster already I'd own that now.

x600.

Those things are the bomb. Don't shine off them because it's a Squier!
However I must the Muddy Waters Tele's are just as awesome playing wise (but maple necks just win me over each and every time).

i say go for the voilin kit, that thing would kick ass.
if you want an econo esquire get an affin tele off the bay for like 100 bucks, let me copy the guard, make a new one.
then sell the neck pup and guard.

why not try a mando kit? they're much easier to just pick up and play.

I've heard nothing but praise for the muddy tele - I'm sorely tempted myself...

I told him to do this... Except, I would ghost the neck pup under the guard.

Go for the Classic Vibe Esquire - it'll look fab.

I've tried ghosting a standard tele neck PUP under an esquire guard - doesn't work too well. You'd have to use something like a high-output (probably ceramic) humbucker to get decent output.

i think that im going to get the classic vibe tele and just let it go. its pretty cheap ($300), and i think i can still afford gas and such in the interim.

anybody want to contribute? :D
