ultra shortscale acoustic

its a custom built/refurbed acoustic from my good friend josh.
im rebuilding his first guitar.
the history.
it was purchased in the mid 90's by his grandfather from a guitar store in indianapolis for less than 60.00 dollars.
it featured a
13" err 14" scale(something cray like that)
brass frets.
laminated top/sides/back/ fingerboard(it was ceder or somthing with veneer tape over top)
the neck was just glued, no sort of tonge n groove, nor tengon joint.
i removed the neck, then top, then back, and replaced them all.
its been something that i do, late at night, when im bored, its a free thing for a good friend.
anywho......
pics
.
this is the top.
its basswood *(THIN) with a pao ferro rosewood center, braced like an archtop and two f-holes i copied from a voilin.

here is the bracing, its a rip off of d"quisto archtops with the bass side being slightly more.. outward than the treble.
![Image](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g126/Fender96jag/IMG_2717.jpg)
this is the 23 scale fretboard(maple) in place, i rounded the edges like some mandos than i really liked.
![Image](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g126/Fender96jag/IMG_2714.jpg)
glueing up the back......
its just mohogany(the bookmatch is shit, i know. it slid a bit when i clamped it and i didn't realize it till about 6 hours later.
![Image](http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g126/Fender96jag/IMG_2928.jpg)
the top of that back is zircoti, its a dark oily wood that i plan on using to inlay his initials gibson styleeee!!!!!
this is the dot layout(half of them anyway.) and the general mockup of things.

its a bit farther along than this but i figured that all it needs is the neck joined(properly) a good 14" radii, a rosewood bridge(archtop styleeee) and some frets before i oil it and wax it, this is rather fun.
and for the record, im planing on putting a veneer over the head stop and binding it, but i have not decided which wood i should use, i have some rather nice stuff at have and i could do the wood binding thing( i think i have it down pat!)
