Looks interesting; nice pickups.
Is that a Klira of some sorts? I dunno, but for some reason I think I like it.

I am a big fan of the pick guard. haha. Looks like someone wasn't quite sure where to go with it.
The pickups sound very cool also.

I had one of those, but it was sunburst with a white pickguard. 63 or 65 I think. Anyway, it sucked, and I ithk I thre the parts away. YOurs looks wayyyy cooler.

i have one of those, cept mines got a trem and its a burst modle, mines a silvertone "hornet" 4004 or something like that, if you take off the guard there is a circular pink stamp under there with the year on it, and those pups sound AMAZING overdriven, actually they sound the best going thru a salt booster(no joke)
all you gotta do is get one of those unslotted tune o matic bridges from stew mac and make a bridge for it.
the spacing is all sorts of narrow.
if i remember correctly its about the same as a generic strat at the nut but then the end of the fretbaord is slim as hell!

That guitar (and variations of it) was sold under a variety of names; Kay, Harmony, Danelectro (briefly), Coral, Alamo, Holiday, Custom Kraft, Silvertone, Sherwood, etc.. but most of the ones you see today are Harmony Bobcats. They were made in Chicago before the USA "guitar boom" died and the imports took over.
The pickups are DeArmonds and sound good, but are very microphonic. Great for punk/garage!
They came in short and longer scales, and with/without trems. Some of the higher-end ones (which this appears to be) are actually pretty decent.

i'll get some pics of the one that i have when tracy gets off work.
its actually grat quility, clean blocks. 3-4 ply binding is very clean and stood the test of time,
the pups(like stated before)
are de-armonds single coils(they rock!)
the burst on mine is like a sienna burst(red-black)
its a pretty good burst and from what i can tell its an alder body(very small)
and the paint is laquer(still retains much of its original shine)
the tuners are lower end klusons but they are still tight and work perfect(they are still better than 90% of stock tuners now a days)
the neck pocket is TIGHT! its hella better than the cbs era fender stuff i have seen up close.
and mines a 24 scale.

i swapped out the old tuners, they wouldn't turn without a string winder.
the paint on mine isn't lacquer, i was looking at an old sears ad and it advertised the paint as "hand rubbed"
i also don't mind the wooden stock bridges, they are easy to reshape and adjust.

Tuners can usually be fixed if you take them apart and clean/oil all the parts.
Actually, can you post a pic of the tuners? I might be interested in them for a project.

Awesome guitar!I remember the pictures of these in the Sears Catatog my family had in 1966.
