has anyone tired the prails yet? sorry if its been talked about

but..

i just got one to try out, ive put it into my jagstang and im pretty sure thats where itll be staying for a while :)

i think its a great pickup, ive wired it so i can get p90/humbucker/rails.

the p90 i think sounds the best very nice tone, and the humbucker sounds great also but i did notice when u select just the rails the volume decreases quite alot.

but its a pretty nice pickup and i dont have any guitars with p90's in em, and u can still get the humbucker which is cool

this has been discussed a bit, and i was saying this pickup would be PERFECT for a jagstang!

just convert the back pickup switch to a p90/hum/single toggle, and the front one to a pickup selector, and boom super-versatile guitar! schweet man, i want one!

actually im wondering - how does the volume of the rails (single coil mode) compare with the volume of the jag-stang neck pickup? is it much quieter??

ill take some pics when i get home from work.

i cant really say how the rail compares with the neck pickup because i took all the orginal electrics out ages ago, they crapped out on me
only that in the pickup its self the rail mode is quieter. i will be putting a neck pickup in but im not sure which one, i might actually just put the original neck pickup back in as i didnt mind the sound of it .

heres some pics, id love to get a neck one aswell but i dont want to route the jagstang, but it works really well in this guitar.

ive got it setup with a push pull pot, pull for volume. and the mini swtich is for the prails.
i am going to stick the orig neck pup back in with a black cover to match, and wire it up to another mini 3 way as a pickup selector in the middle of the other switch and knob.

i just went to my mates and played some p-railjag :) and i approve, its a very nice pickup.

i love the p90 setting.
