I gotta have one. My "Classic Vibe" Strat is amazing, and I want the whole fucking series now. My Strat is super light, too.

I've been asking myself the essential new guitar question: will I play, enjoy, and be inspired by "X" more then, say, my '94 Mustang or Dano U1? Honestly, I don't know. I've had terrible GAS for this thing for months now.

Fuck, I ask that question all the time. Buying guitars and pedals is like a disease.

Bridge pickup beached out away from the bridge ruins that thing for me, which is a shame.

that fact that it only comes in gold ruins it for me.
also the UK RRP doesn't help - £220+ for a Squier? blah.

£220 for a good quality guitar doesn't seem to bad to me. People seem happy to pay £200 for a Pacifica.

Plus there is nothing wrong with Squier. You could quite happily play a Squier guitar in a professional band situation.

But you can get a brand new Mexican Fender Strat for £280.
fact is, it's still a squier and that will at the very least affect it's resale value.

I don't buy guitars with the intention of selling so why do I care about the resale value. And a high quality Squier has every chance of being better than a bottom line Mex Fender.

It's the aesthetic for me. I would stare and shout at it like Austin Powers and that guy from the Wonder Years with the MOLE

+ 1, my squire tele was my main guitar for ages until i got my strat. I'm still thinking of banging a set of gfs tele pickups in it and using it again.
i really want a classic vibe duo but I'm torn between that and that dam nice classic vibe tele.

And Rob (Progrockabuse) is probably a better guitar player than most people here.

People keeps saying this, i've never been good at taking compliments. Mainly because the derbyshire music scene is full of big headed ego fuelled nob heads. i never want to get into that circle.
Thanks mike

just looking at the specs this is a higher quality guitar than a MIM strat. Plus it has that super attractive aesthetic value.

while that's a good point, I'd still have to play it to see how it really sounds.
