Certainly someone must have gone through all the effect to remove the strat trem, block the cavity, and reroute for a real Jag/Jazz trem?

im just trying to imagine if it is worth the effort or not!

i imagine you can snag a used jagmaster for a littl eunder $200 or so on eBay

you'd get a neck and tuners and such

and a body that needs modding.

everything else would be a toss (perhaps could be resold for a couple doollars though)

how much is a bridge and trem? like 50-100 or so i think right? then youd neeed a new pickguiard so thats another 50, plus pickups and electronics, im imagining it coming out to about $500 and alot of work in the end.

so maybe a real jag might be a better deal.

Nevertheless, I issue the challenge to someone!

Just buy a used jap jaguar, it would be cheaper than buying a jagmaster and modding it to that extent.

Or just change the pickups to jag or jazzy single coils, and learn to live with the strat trem.

Incidently, why is the jagmaster called the jagmaster? It should be called the Jagocaster Paul, considering the design.

It was done by a past poster here named aug. Its not a good idea, I owned that body after it traded hands with shadow, just buy the MIM jaguar HH.

The Jagmaster doesn't need "correcting". It is it's own guitar. Play it as such or buy an alternative.

Or maybe stop being fixated by what Kurt did to his Jaguar. If you're really wanting to go HOG WILD.

seriously.

The very implication that the jagmaster is somehow incorrect because it fails to be jaguar is just so douchey and strained.

Mellow out dudes. I didn't mean to imply that there is anything wrong with a jagmaster, i didn't think of another word to use besides 'correct'

its not a big deal

Meh...

there's alot of easy words out there...

modify
convert

I dunno, now...

I corrected mine... by robbing the amazing neck off the god forsaken sunburst atrocity of a body. This is seriously the best neck I've ever played in my life. Some minor sanding + years of playing (it was my first real electric guitar back in 2004) lead to the perfect neck.

Do all Jagmasters have a "conversion neck", or do some have a standard 25.5" or 24" neck?

I almost bought one, but decided on a "Classic Vibe" Strat.

vista were 24"
the new ones were 25.5"
the new new ones have a 24" conversion neck

I was talking about this a while ago. I was thinking about combining a vista and a new one and adding a jag trem.

vista overlayed with the new one:

ultimately, it would be way to much work and the jagmaster is a sweet guitar as it is. the only thing worth messing with would be the pickups.

I know you and Shadow don't like the way it plays, but I quite like it, in a half fucked SY kind of way.

I really need to set the neck up better though.

I'm sure it plays fine now, since I filled the old bridge holes and moved the bridge into the correct position. I like it, its just not something someone should go through the pain of trying to do. Just buy a body from robert.

I was thinking about putting a mustang bridge/trem on mine, but I decided it was way more trouble than it was worth.
