Faux XII REVISITED NEW HOT VIDEO!

Post by Hurb »

OK this project has gone on too long, but I wanted to it right!
Once I got a the xii plate of mr m I needed to redo the scratcher so it fit.
So I thought I might as well do everything that pissed me off about the guitar, I filled the old routes(I freehanded them before) with wood so I could redo them neater. I have made a new scratcher template, and I have sanded the old paint off and rounded the edges more, I also have started on making the contours mor elike my old jaguar(they are real comfy) I have also rerouted the neck pickup route in the guitar.

this is what it looks like at the moment

WANT THIS FINISHED!!!

Awesome shit, gonna look amazing. Stang trems may be hard to get the best out of, but they sure look good.

It's so pretty already, Hurb...Good times. By the way, it's been so long since we'd last heard that I had forgotton:Was it going to be a VI-stringer in the end or can we expect Jag/Jazzy threaded saddles to accommodate teh dozen-stringed janglez?

In other news, I captured this one not too long after the last faux post on a Korean video link portal for the lolz...TUBEPOT!

I think that just about covers things, thank you. Is it going to be a six- or twelve-string? Also, what's the blue Jazzmaster/Jag thing? It's lovely. Made a loop yet?

Usually these mish-mash guitars people do on forums look awful but that looks like something Fender should make.

+1

That's a real beaut. This guy needs a website.
If you think of god as a pair of pants, a spiritualist thinks he needs pants, in fact he wants pants but none of the conventional types of pants seem to fit just right, so he makes his own pants and is happy that his knees are no longer cold.-fibus

...so what's the story behind not using the XII pups? I missed that part, and unless they somehow managed to suck, I think it would be 999x cooler with them on :(
