I have one of the new Squier Duosonic, It plays really nice after I set it up, pickups sound pretty awesome. There's just one problem... I don't ike the color. I liked it when I bought it now I don't. Do you guys think it would look alright with the gold guard (Everything the same actually) and re-done in LPB?

And if anybody is interested in trading for something blue, don't be shy to PM me. Maybe that way I won't have to add another project to the freaking never ending list

imho, I think that gold guard goes best with that guitar...

But, check this website out http://www.nymphusa.com/kisekae/kisekaeE1.asp

I doubt they have one for a duo or anything, but you could jus put a strat with LPB and a gold guard to see.

I think if you could get a black or white pickguard it would go pretty well with that colour and save you a lot of hassle. Not that finding a duo-sonic guard won't be a lot of hassle in itself.

Painting the body white may be an option... Gold is a hard color to fuck with.

True, I think you're looking at 6 months before guards for this new regigged guitar surface.

I don't think it's the colour of the guitar that is the problem, it's the hideous scratchplate. If you could get a Tortoiseshell one think of how lovely it would look, however that might be tricky. I would make your own or send it to Robert to make you a red tort one.

Mmmmm........some potential there, Mike. The color is not the same that one is a yellowed white and this one is like a light poo brown so I dont know if the tort would look as awesome as the Stang

Could even do a Mustang Style control plate......\

And ye the gold guard is FUGLY!!!

I still think it would look nice with some tortoiseshell. A control plate is always a nice option also. Get in touch with Robert.

Man, if I had my Competition Blue Fender Bullet finished I'd offer it up for trade. I've been jonesing for one of those Squier Duosonics since they came out.

That is the holy grail of colors because Reranch doesn't make it. Is is a little drab. I painted an old 50s body white because of that. But I would think a black guard would give you the Tele look I like. It's funny--I am sure that color is why so many were refinished and I ended up with them for cheaper. I don't mind it. It looks so much like the real grandfather.
