Excellent. I'd like to get a nice ric copy like yours one day. Can't afford the real deal and I'd be too afraid to gig it if I could. Very nice score.

Thanks man! A very kind fellow forum member gave me the new TRC. Not real but "close enough for rock and roll".

aw man, subway guitars near me has a couple rick copies like that, but they are asking like $600. wtf. they are nice but $600?

i want one.

Rickenbacker sell them directly, though knowing them you probably have to trade in your old smahsed one :roll:

Yeah this is the truth. Takes a good while to get a replacement too.

The good Ric copies were made by Tokai. I hear the earlier ones are better than the newer ones and they ain't exact copies, just look really similar. The one I tried was a later Korea model and the it certainly wasn't an exact copy in shape. It didn't quite resonate that much either.
