That is badass - if I was into 'buckers I'd be all over it.

Even that doesn't pull off humbucker ring + pickguard.

Looks cool. What's with the slot beside the pickup? Can you swap the pickups out or something?

Yeah - there are 2 connectors on the treble side so you can swap PUPs in about 30 seconds. It's really slick.
Cream City music is somewhat near me - crazy awesome store. There are vintage Fenders everywhere you turn - lots of Jazzmasters and Jaguars, too. Also one of the biggest Gretsch collections in the world - I've probably spent 8 hours in the Gretsch room.

The original idea was that you could get a pup taylored to what music you played, be it rock, country, jazz or whatever.
Jamie from .45 Grave has one, and he has a bag of pups that he can just grab and slide in there. He had cradles made for a Super Distortion, JB and two others.

Ahh, that actually sounds kind of useful. With only two options, it's kind of seems like it's just a gimmick. A $1500 gimmick, no less.

Uh. That pelham blue mm is so mine. I was watching it last week then the guy pulled the auction due to 'inaccuracies in the listing'.
It's got old patent sticker gibson humbucker in it- FOOKIN MOJO ARE KID!

But it's a Gibson, which immediately makes it stupid.

Seems reasonable. I was watching it but decided I couldn't live with the weird patchiness to the front caused by old stickers.

lol. I'd normally say the same, but that thing has an odd appeal about it... Even though it's everything I hate in a guitar basically (cept the color?)
Though I've never seen one of those trems that close... That really is a stupid, stupid design.
