Yep, it was a nice cab. Even better, I picked it up with 2 brand new speakers and upgraded wiring for 150 cash. Too bad I sold all my gear this summer/fall and am just now starting to stock back up. Currently I have no pedals, no amp, no PA, and 1 measley guitar. Check back in 6 months after I get moved into my new house though.

The work zone, a microscopic little room in our new flat. Does the trick, but the bunkbed has become a storage shelf for a squillion instruments.

Newbright on Saint François-Xavier
W'ere getting kicked out of there, for sure.
between the yuppie seafood restaurant downstairs complaining that we're ruining their business all the while cursing our drum tracks with parts of "tonight's the night" by Rod Stewart and the yuppie lawyer upstairs neighbours' passive-agressive threats the situation has almost reached critical mass.

I track drums in my garage and then I record the rest in what used to be my bedroom, sometimes assisted by ex-bandmate Geoff on bass or organ, but generally doing drum/bass/guitar/vocal tracks by myself these days. Geoff is not down with teh bass no more, I think it had something to do with how he surpassed me on fingerpicked acoustic guitar and taught himself to be a bad-assed Hammond organist or something, now he just sits at home in Fremont folkin' shit up.
Anyway, the late, great Austen Elder dubbed this place "The Pauldron," and we ridiculed him for 3 weekends straight over it. Now I actually want a plaque made up or something.

PART II: new audio production program is going on at my school, I spend up to 8 hours in "ye olde tv studio" at a time on
accident just dicking around, recording other people and performing a lot of solo acoustic numbers when others need to practice engineering, mixing and mastering. My "lab hours" are off the fucking chart, A+ please.
"Who cares, can we use it as a controller for Logic?"
"These KM-184s are $1700 a pair, so refrain from John Mayerisms, please."
Don't remember this guys name but he impressed me by choosing to record Cannonball Adderly's "Work Song" and then impressed me again when he actually did record it. Dude could fuckin' play.
Geoff approves.
