I'll post mine up at weekend.
Duncan Lipstick , Duncan JB
don´t liked much the JB at Ash , Too pinch tone ... trying figure what i can put at humbucker thinking about Alnico 2
( i will change to an SD Alnico 2 Pro Trembucker , "TBAPH-1" , in October / November ... )
i loved the Lipstick at Ash , perfect mix ... sounds very well balanced .... Jangle N Bell Tone , Very Crystal sound at Clean , yet can handle distortion well turns Devil thing when you add distortion / overdrive
I think that would work, but im not sure how it would sound in a solid body guitar. My tv jones "designed" hot rod pickups sound a bit muddy in my gretsch, though thats probably just because its hollow body. Ill look into reviews when im done with my english project.
Dont forget that these pickups are priced insanly. $120 for a pickup, thats half a squier. you may try a humbucker sized p-90 like a phat cat, or a gfs dream 90. I havent tried any of these pickups myself, im simply going by how my Gretsch sounds through my Hotrod deville. So I would do some intense review reading before buying. But I think Dots has a dream 90 in his HH jaguar.

i like that you took the design to NEXT LEVEL, icey, but i've personally never been a fan of tort on blue or white pickups w/ tort.
my jstang ain't all that special, but it has definitely been mod'ed:
sd jb in bridge
texas special in neck
SCHALLER strap locks
sperzel locking tuners
sparkle stickers on the front of the body (they were a gift from my then 18mo daughter)
i fucking hate those tuners with a passion now. will switch back (maybe even to F tuners) when i have moneys.
Oh by the way Icey, the j-s looks nice. Nice shade of blue. I look forward to seeing what you pick for a bridge pickup! There are just too many choices but for surf you probably want something with a solid over-all response. hi highs, balanced lows, and a solid middle, and a bunch of splashy reverb of course!
Mine's already been posted about a million times, but here it is anyway.
1997 FR Jag-Stang. DiMarzio PAF Pro humbucker, Seymour Duncan Great White strat replacement pickup w/ Mustang cover, tune-o-matic bridge with routes filled in and a stop bar tailpiece.

Tuning stability and to a lesser extent sustain. I actually really like the Mustang trems but at the time I had two or three Mustangs and I wanted a hardtail shortscale. I like the way that bridge and tailpiece look on the Mustang plate.
