Musicmaster bass- Is this fo real?

Ebay has it listed as:

1971 Musicmaster bass Surf Green

I haven't seen it in surf green. The only colors I've seen on a Fender musicmaster are red and black. If it was originally surf green, would it fade to that color? It looks like a faded/smoked at sonic blue to me, but I could be wrong.

What do u guys think?

faded blue. The musicmaster I refinished for had bits of the original paint on it. The deeper I sanded it changed from crappy rolled on dark blue, og yellowed to green paint, and the the original blue after I got through the clear. That guitar wacually would bave looked great if I just would have sanded off the rolled on paint

Refin.

They only did red, black blue and white.

Could be faded blue, but doesn't look right at all.

Yeah, I gots the shell pink Squier and I'm not too fond of the pickup myself, but it'll suffice for now.
