Phantom Power

Will a 25 pin DSUB connection support 48V power? I must know before I fuck up my recording setup and cant use any condenser mics

Dude, I'm not sure.
Hook it up, turn on Phantom Power, and use a multimeter to check and see if you've got some voltage running through one of the pins.
I'm guessing it would work, because all these fancypants digital snakes look like they use DSUB connections.\
Dammit, now I'm bonering for digital snakes.

I thought that you'd just be using a DSUB to send the signal from the console to you A/D converter, in which case, there'd be no need for phantom power anyway.
EDIT - The more and more I think about this, the more I wonder what exactly you're intending on using this snake for. If you're intending on running mics on it, I'm sure that it's not going to work. From what I know, you use DSUB snakes for moving signals from console to A/D D/A converters and the like, much like a lightpipe going from computer to converter and vice versa.

It works. Basically what I intend to do is have a 16 chan. snake with two DSUBs on one end. (1-8, 9-16) So when I go to move my rack somewhere I don't have to have a 30 foot snake perm. attached into the patchbay. it doesn't cost me anymore, so fuck it, why not.
