Glad you like it mate, like I said on the video - in your hands it will be far more effective!

I'm not sure what I was expecting but this sounded quite different to it. I quite like what it does though, where classic fuzz tones. I suppose it does what I should have expected it to do. Very nice looking, too.

Yeah, it's a very much lead guitar orientated aggressive Octave Fuzz.

james, if your brave enough to venture forth into the depths of youtube, check some early genesis with steve hackett on lead guitar, that is the sound of a duo fuzz mixed with a marshall supa fuzz aka a mkII tonebender.

That was benecol's choice (he was keen on one of these aswell but is having some cashflow issues), he has impeccable Fuzztone taste.
I dunno what Mike Fuller is on about with regard to the '69 Fuzz, he says there aren't sufficiently good Germanium transistors around to make them, they sound good to my ears, although they are significantly more expensive that Silicon trannies.

He makes everything in production numbers, and he's very picky about the values on his transistors and even the type. Lots of people who make Fuzz Faces are. If you're making them individually you could always tweak your circuit to optimize what you got to work with. When you're making 500-1000 pedals, that's not so easy.
The Fulltone 69 and Soul Bender were good sellers, so I don't see why he'd stop making them if he could to his satisfaction.

Fair enough, in my limited experience AC128's sound good when you use a low and high gain one.
