FUCKING EMOCASTER JR!!!!!!
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!
When Jim Adkins, guitarist and frontman for platinum-selling Jimmy Eat World, cheerfully challenged us to design his perfect guitar, the collaboration began that resulted in the new JA-90. We sat down with Adkins and went over his old Fender TC-90 spec by spec, making some important changes that resulted in this unique new model. Features include a mahogany neck set into a semi-hollow ash body, Seymour Duncan® soapbar pickups, independent volume and tone controls, an Adjusto-Matic™ bridge and anchored tailpiece. Sweetness, indeed!

probably coming out of the same korean factory as the tc-90s did. i wonder if
a) the bridge pickup will be any better than the tcII
b) it will sound different?
c) is that sill set-neck?

When platinum-selling Jimmy Eat World guitarist/frontman Jim Adkins cheerfully challenged Fender by throwing down the gauntlet of designing his perfect guitar, a collaboration began that resulted in the new Fender JA-90.
To design the JA-90, Fender sat down with Adkins and went over his old Fender TC-90 spec by spec, making some important changes that subsequently produced this unique new model. Features include a maple neck set into a semi-hollow ash body, Seymour Duncan® soapbar pickups, independent volume and tone controls, an Adjusto-Matic bridge and a stop tailpiece.
The Fender JA-90 is available in two colours, Crimson Red Transparent (Fender part no. 026-2350-538) and Ebony Transparent (Fender part no. 026-2350-539), both have a Rosewood Fretboard and will be priced around £519.99.
The JA90 is a real must-have guitar for those who have not been able to purchase the Fender TC-90 since it was discontinued. The Fender JA-90 Crimson Red Transparent and Ebony Transparent are now available from Digital Village online, in-store or via telephone mail-order.

I really hated the pickups on the one I played, they were woolly and weak. It could have been a lemon though.

I'm strangely relieved that "Jim Adkins Signature" is not ejaculated all over the lower bout/headstock, but the transparent finishes are doing nothing for me at the moment (butterscotch/pastels being the ace load). Then again, I know little of what a James Consumes Planet frontman would want.

LEMON! I also played a lemon before i got mine. It is the loudest guitar I own. Like, to my ear, 30% louder than my 50s tele.
The bridge pickup is underwhelming at best, but I very seldom use the bridge pckup. SO I wasnt bothered. The neck PU is awrsome though, super deep and tough, but with enough spank.

Nope. 420.
That's the same as a Baja Telecaster basically. Decent pricing.
Aen I'm all about the bridge, so that just won't do.

I always thought the TC90 was a Custom Shop guitar. Hah.

Alternatively, do you guys think that pickgaurd would work with a normal Tele bridge and control plate but into it a little?
I'm thinking maybe at the moment.
