Nice one, I have a layout I made scrawled on paper somewhere. That layout creator doesn' tget on with Vista unfortunately, so I have to do it the old fashioned way.

Yeah I had problems initially running with Vista (Business if that makes a difference), but if you run the thing as administrator it does okay.
Incidently this is the first layout I've ever done, so you can imagine my glee when the thing actually worked.

You can condense this in several ways:
Slide Q3 left to Column 12.
Slide R12 over that cut to it's left, and move C5 and R13 to the left, that's two columns saved already.
D1 and R8 can share the same column etc.. There's several tricks of the trade.
This is the build I did for Mezz.

I tried that and still had no luck unfortunately :-/

OMGLOL that's very neat. Lovely jeorb. Mine is a bit messy/cramped as I've inherited my Dad's HUGE BOX OF ANCIENT RESISTORS. And tried to use up a few of the awkward buggers. Incidently Mike, what difference does using Germanium diodes make to the sound?

The Made by Mike Green Ringer is clearly the better of the two...

They're just more softer in the attack, they tend to "bloom" a bit more, Silicon Diodes are more hard edged and gritty - both have their uses.

Oh you beauty: waiting on a delivery from musikding before I break out the solder burns and swearing, and have been looking for a green ringer layout. Thank you.
