what to do with this truss rod hole in the headstock

Painting? Routing? Set-up tips? Or just straight-up making a guitar from scratch? Post here, and post pics!

it is hideous, and i can't think of how to fix it.

i though bullet truss rod conversion but my luthier looked at it and said it would need a lot of filler wood.

any ideas?

going to colour match the headstock btw

get an ebony sort of dowell rod, shove that bitch in there and drill it out.
it'll look more like a fender.
wait, upon further inspection it looks like its cut like a gibby truss rod slot.
is this tru?
where did you score that neck btw?

i have the guy's e-mail if you want it

maple and rosewood, i scored one of each, not bad for $125 each but the truss rod hole is UGLY. it looks like a smaller gibson style slot which means a truss rod cover, or finding a way to hide it.

removable full headstock veneer? :lol:
