Rehousing footswitches

Post by shae »

Hey guys,

I have a footswitch for my AC15. It has a reverb on/off and a trem on/off. I haven't opened it up yet to have a look inside but I assume it's a pretty straight forward getup. I wouldn't mess with a pedal so I thought I'd ask for advice (and knowledge) before I pawn the pedal off to a friend and give it to them to do... so now for the questions.

1) How easy is it/How long would it take to accomplish?
2) Assuming the Vox footswitch is new, and I already have a 'zvex style' footswitch (I just want it smaller/hand painted, the stock footswitch is farrrr too big)... would any new parts need to be purchased?
3) How much would you guesstimate it would cost me?

I just don't want to be ripped off, ect. as I have no idea about fixing/modifying pedals.

Cheers guyz.
