Just picked up one of the Classic Vibe teles/ I checked out the 72 reissue that I posted about but the bigsby was not installed very cleanly. It played great, but it was definitely a home job addition and I just decided against it...SO...
I got the white 50's Classic Vibe Squire..
300 USD out the door with a hardcase, strap, and a pack of strings.
Amazing fit and finish for a squire. the neck is nice and glossy with a vintage tint. Plays as well I think as the Baja did (but it has been awhile since mu Baja tele was stolen....) Great sounding pups, all the electronics felt secure and solid. I wa sold before I even plugged it in. Even with shitty used 9's on it it still rang out. String up with some 11 or 12'a and it will be ready to go...
I did try the duosonic and it was pretty cool, but I just thought the tele was a better guitar.

Hot.
I really want one of these, if I ever find some cash burning a hole in my pocket and I don't decide to put it towards a vintage mustang, I'll give one of thses a whirl.

I love this new Classic Vibe series!! I really want one of the 60s Strats after playing a couple of them. They are quite the awesome.

The dinky little crap store by me has the whole classic vibe series in - they are really cool. The tele was really well made and surprisingly light weight.
The bridge PUP gap on the DS is even worse in person!

Well who'd a thunk it. I didn't think people used pine for guitars. I've never seen it before anyway...

Has anyone played the Classic Vibe Duo-Sonic? They look freakin' awesome, but I wonder if they play well at all. (They're short scale too....so appropriate to this forum!)

I was unimpressed. It wasn;t bad, but next tot he tele it was weak. But, I am a tele guy at heart.

It played good. They don't look as good in person, unfortunately. The PUP gap is huge and the PG has this weird greenish cast.
