I set my Wilkinson trem up in a floating position in a bid to mimmick some Jeff Beck upbend stuff. The G string wont hold tune, but if i dip the bar it seems to bring it back in tune most times.
I've tried all the old tricks like graphite in the nut and vaseline under the string tree and although there is a slight improvement its still annoying.
Personally i think its the string tree but, how does other peoples Wilkinsons perform?
Has anyone tried an Hipshot Tremsetter so that the trem returns to point zero everytime?

aye, the tremsetter is a good peice, in some cases it is almost needed, wilks seem to be a bit better than the average floyd or floating style trem.
i would just get a tremsetter honestly, you may be able to do without by tinkering, but it always helps to have one installed.

Rofflez. Ng Plz. I was looking for other opinions on this wondrous tremolo system that supposedly looks and performs better than the Floyd Rose. Convert me bitch, coz right now i'm about to dive bomb teh Floyd with the Maiden.

I had one on my strat. I switched it back though. I find the two point trem kind of pointless.

has anyone installed a trem setter before? i keep wanting to fit one in my strat, as i don't want to block my trem up fully.

There is a tremsetter trhead in the projects thread. Icey has them in all his guitars apparently.
