I have an opportunity to pick up a Jimmy Jones custom Dano copy. This guitar looks just like a dano but it has all heavier duty hardware(bridge, tuners etc)than a Dano.It has 3 lipstick pickups and a strat type 5 way switch. It's kind of surf green but a shade darker. He's asking $600.00.This is the same guy I got the other 2 Danos and the Jeff Beck strat from.Has anybody ever heard of Jimmy Jones guitars??It's a really nice guitar in great shape with hardshell case.I'm wondering if it's a one off and is it worth it?I can probably get him down to $500 or 550.Wish I had some pics but alas none.
I can also get a Jimmie Vaughn signature strat for around $450..I see they're going for around 650-675 on bazee.

They are really nice. It's Jerry Jones guitars. They're made down by Nashville. Lots of the session players down there use them to get that Country Dano sound, but not have to fuss with an old guitar.

It doesn't sound like a one-off.

They go for close to a grand new. I've never cared for the body shape, but they're very good guitars.

As a copy, is it solid wood, or spam?

Jerry Jones makes authentic copies so it ain't all solid.

The guy met Nathan Daniels and pretty much got the ok to copy everything.
