The clean channel on my Marshal AVT150H has stopped working. When I press the button to select it, the acoustic channel comes on instead.

This has been the worst week ever.

Gah.

Probably some form of electronic issue in the switching circuitry, unfortunately not easily user fixable.

I thought as much, to be honest.

i prefer marshalls over fenders, not that i don't like fenders. i own both. marshall brings the rawk.

My Marshall AVT150h did the same thing but on the OD1 channel, I took it to an amp repair guy and he found a bad IC. It cost like $100 parts and labour. I'm sure yours is the same problem. Do some google searching on this issue.

I think I'll eventually upgrade to a JVM. The AVT is great for the money, and gets all manner of tones, but obviously doesn't get that proper Pure Liquid Gain sound that a proper Marshall does.

I always thought I'd hold on the the AVT because it's loud as fuck, and reliable as fuck. Turns out I might be wrong.

I really like this too, but don't think it makes sense, when you consider how much of a do all amp the JVM is.

Check into the Modern Vintage series, they're supposed to be awesome and were possibly used on the new WHITESNAKE album.

Also, dude see if you can get an AMPEG VL-502 or VL-1002. They're like pimped out jcm800 bonarz. I loev mine.

I'm a long way off buying a new amp. I can't afford food, nor could I afford to the bus to Derry this weekend to teach. Teaching is my only source of income. Times be tight.

I just basically got laid off from my cook job because business is so slow there. I'm just "on call" for big parties, events, or whatever else. Shit's weeeaaaak!!!

At least I have a place to live. I really wouldn't be surprised if I get evicted for something though, the way my week's been going.
