Mustang pot type (need quick response)

Post by James »

Are both pots 250k audio? I'm fairly sure both are 250k but not sure if one is audio and one linear, or both audio. I want to buy some this afternoon and need to know which to get.

i'd suggest linear pot for tone. if you get audio pot, it will roll off highs too quickly, and if you get reverse audio (same as audio but with reversed non-linearity) it will be very subtle at the start but will roll off too quick at the end. if you play mostly with tone at max, i think it wouldn't make reasonable difference.

I decided to just go with the standard one audio one linear and not be too bothered about the stock Mustang setup.

that's wise. you won't have "stock" config anyway since you change shit.

The stock setup is two audio taper 250k pots.
