I forgot about this, might have to be my next pedal since I'm finally reaching my fuzz quota.

I was going to post this last night. Finger hovered above my mouse ready to submit then I decided to take the wait and see approach.

I could understand that if it was the "buy" button on the DolphinMusic Website but not the posting button for Shortscale.

Definitely interested in this; however, my experience of their Vintage Phaser has put me off their "Vintage" line. It sounded great, but awful construction with a terrible footswitch, and poor bypass (I could hear the phaser modulation even when it was disengaged).
Will definitely wait for reviews to come in.

Good thing i'm totally broke, this way i can wait for the reviews. If it's true bypass, and if the delay is has good sounding has the vintage time machine i'm definably buying one

I see one of these in my future... Not that I need any more delays.

I don't think Behringer's true bypass is really true. They advertised the VP-1 with the same language and I think it's a virtual buffered bypass.
A bad bypass at that, from the sound of it.

True <some words> bypass != true bypass.

What?
WHAT?
Do you actually know what you're blethering on about when you type these things? Or are you just plucking words out of your arse? Pray tell, what does "virtual buffered bypass" mean?
Yes they lie about their bypass but they call it "hardwire bypass" or "passive bypass" or something silly. What they do is what hundreds of other designs do and just switch the output from the board output to the jack input using a DPDT (the other pole flipping the LED), so the effect is hanging on the input the whole time, hence a lack of treble.

True hard-wire bypass footswitch
what does hard wire mean?

It means there is a physical switch doing the switching, not an electronic FET based switching system a la Boss.
It's just a fancy dan way of saying "the same as a bunch of fuzz pedals from the 70s"

Someone on the DIY board tried to change the switch and found it was just an actuator pressing against a momentary switch.

On a Vintage Time Machine.
Is that what you mean by "Virtual Buffered Bypass"? Because none of those words really refer to the switching arrangement you've described - particularly Virtual - that's a new one on me in electronics.

Buffered = BOSS style
Virtual = buzzword which basically means "not-true". It can either be output switching (like old fuzzes), output switching coupled with a high impedance input buffer (like the new Crybabys), or just another way of saying Buffered.

Boss style FET switching doesn't use a momentary switch AFAIK

Yes it does.

I don't think they even advertised the VD-1 as True Bypass but some bullshit like True Vinatge Bypass. Which I guess wouldn't be bullshit cause the OG Big muff wasn't true bypass.
I'm sure they put some combo of true and bypass in there purposely, for mojo arrows.
