Neck swapping

You may have seen my Strat copy with the new pickup in it.

It's a terrible guitar, made only marginally better/cooler with the new 'bucker. The biggest problem is that it won't stay in tune, as the tuning machines are shitty (and I mean SHITTY).

I have a Fender Telecoustic that has a hairline crack in the neck which gives me two dead frets (fret 16 on the 1st and 2nd strings). I like the guitar, but really need the better neck/tuners for the electric.

The question is, should I swap the necks (assuming I can)?

^What he said
telecoustics are, in my opinion of course, junk
just are
no bass

i wouldn't, save up for a better guitar. modding cheap guitars can be fun, but eventually you'll spend more on it than you orriginally paid for it, and those things can add up quick

Good point. I actually paid nothing for the ROK AXE and I like the Tele too much to scrap it (that and it's my only acoustic). I'll keep the Pickguard and the Humbucker for something else.

Take the telecoustic and smash it.

No, even better - next time we practice bring it to the studio and let me smash it.
