Howdy all
Right, I'm sat here w ith a Lite Ash Tele (woho)
And a Spider III 30 (shoot me for being so foolish)
So I'm being smart and getting rid of the Line 6 and getting a valveking 112, however i have read a few reviews and i hear the stock speaker is poor, so i was wondering what a good speaker swap would be? I'm more of a classic rock person myself (apologies for my poor descriptions, I have been playing 2 years :/)
Any ideas?

Try one out before planning mods based on some reviews.
However, I have a vintage 30 in my 1x12 cab and I can't reccommend it enough.

Warehouse or Weber speakers (
www.tedweber.com) would be your best bet for a reasonably priced, high quality speaker. For RAWK, your probably shooting for a Celestian clone.
Just make sure you match the impedance and get at least the amp's wattage or higher (preferably higher since the amp is rated at clean power and distortion will increase the wattage) and you should be fine. Speakers also take a while to loosen up, so don't be turned off if it doesn't sound great right away.

before you get a valveking and swap the speaker, consider getting an amp with speaker that suits you.

I also recommend the Jenson NEO speakers if your doing like clean/breakupy tones. They're light as hell and sound pretty good. The T00B D00D i work with puts them in all of his amps because he has had back surgery and stuff, they really do make a huge difference in weight.

This is good advice. Don't mod/buy based on reviews. Go try some amps and see what you like. You might find something under the radar for a good price.
