becuz they kicked too much ass.
no it was becuz no one really bought them, they were not a great selling guitar. but now after about 10 years they are selling for almost double what they retailed for.
in fact, even tho 475 is cheap for that thing, i think i remember seeing them for like 350.00 or something new.

they both came out the same year, along with the venus, and venus XII. the vista musicmaster and musicmaster bass followed the next year
