I just got done with this one.The finish is shit...but it has an old WR in it.I got the neck off bays for cheap. It's a little fatter than I'm used to,kinda like the Jeff Beck strat I sold.Never heard of CrestlineWTF..
Dots ..I finally found a use for the tuners I got from you..
The pics disappeared..

Old WR? Like an OG one?
I like the single HB strat look.

Yes Og...It was stuffed in my 1969 mustang when I bought it back in '75 or '76.Paid $125.00 for it with og case.

Why is the pickguard so wide around the bridge?
How does it sound? I played an OG '72 tele custom and it sounded really good, but I didn't think that the OG WR's sounded too different from the ones in my reissue.
I like the placement of the knobs. I was going to modify my tom delonge strat back in the day and have it similar to that.

It's not a "full" Strat bridge, it's a hard tail, so it doesn't need to extend to accomodate the trem arm/reverb handle
lol.

This thing plays really nice and sounds good. The body weighs about 2lbs.I was able to route it out with a screwdriver and exacto knife. When I hit certain chords the thing buzzes my body.Weird shit. With the hardtail it seems to have a hella lot of sustain. The WR seems to scream play LOUDER.It intonates perfect. The finish on the neck is gloss and smooth as butter.I had to drill the HS to get the "F" tuners on.I just need to lower the action, probably do that later today.

That humbucker is worth a mint - how would you say it sounds?

The only amp I have is a Fender GDEC-30 which has a hella lot of settings. Can sound lush as fullbodyfuck or aggresive enough to make me cringe and everywhere in between.I will nevar give up that pup,it's been in 3 different guitars of mine so far..

Good for you. I like to hear about people coming across gems like that and using them rather than sitting on it or cashing in.

I had to fuck with it some more..Found this old Ford Pinto emblem I kept from the early 70's.I like it for now ..

The neck is so slippyslidyshiny but the HS is sooo dodgy.
Hahaa Crestline Pinto ..
At least DDD might appreciate it..

I think the emblem works. I also like how they had to tack on extra wood to make the headstock appropriately huge. Noice.

I may be dating myself, but C4 explosive under the bridge/tailpiece might suffice for period correct dangermoments.
