this might be a noob question well it is.... I've never owned an audio interface

Can I use it as PA via compuer or will I have just a shit load of latentcy issues as I sing?

Also it can opperate as a stand alone preamp... I don't suppose I could use it as PA (to sing through) that way... it would need some for of power amp right?

have I got this all wrong, thanks guys?

Its just a preamp for boosting the signal of a mic, its not an amp. It also will convert the signal to digital for input into your computer.

Thought so but if I have monitor speakers attached and my computer on running something like Cubase.... If I sang through it my voice would come out right.... like a PA, no?... even if I chose not to reord it... which I wouldn't be..yet

It's primitive I know.... But I need an audio interface and I need some kind of PA for a practice room.... but can only afford one... I thought this may be a way around it

If your computers monitor speakers will get loud enough for your practice then you could use this to input your mic into your cpu and out your cpu's monitor speakers. I've done it before, but put the mic through headphones instead of out a monitor.
