The Hyperion makes me angry. Angry the way roses and kitties make me angry. So beautiful, yet below the surface so unforgiving. This pedal has been described as the "Big Muff" killer, and who am I to argue with other people say about my pedals. I hardly get to use them as much as I like, and when I do, I tend to spend a little too much time jamming when I should be working. So, as LeVar Burton (I wonder if he's somehow related to Tim Burton) would say... you don't have to take my word for it!

I had one, I liked it a lot, I htought it would be the big muff killer, but it lacked sufficient bottom end for my needs in that scenario. BUt I did use it for chunky leads and stuff, also, I didn't use it often, but it had a nice octave up sometimes too. It was nice to control it via the guitar's volume.

I may be flogged for this, but Devi's stuff all sounds very similar and similarly crappy to me. Maybe it's just the demos, who knows. All I know is, THERE'S ENOUGH HARSH SOUNDING FUZZES IN THE WORLD!

Meh. Bit better I suppose.
She just needs to get an amp and a mic on her vid demos, they probably sound less gash with some actual air moving.

I will say with 100% cinfidance that it is the case of shit demos. I've had 8 Devi fuzzes, and they are all very different IRL. I wish I could have kept them all, but i kind of wanted to try them all and settle on a couple. Right now I'm rocking the Rocket, which has a bad-ass growly but smooth rhythm fuzz on one side which you can blast with an octave fuzz for wicked tones. If i had a pile of money i would probably nab 2 or 3 others.

You have to admit they do all sound pretty much identical in the video demos though, which is a shame.

Similar, yes, but it's fuzz. The differences are bound to be subtle.

Stacey uses a Devi Ever LP, which can actually throw up some tasteful albeit glitchy sounds. It's also bassier than other DE effects.

Her stuff is just completely not my style, it always has nasty octavey overtones. I could see myself using Aen's stuff because he gets some glorious big riffy sounds out of his pedals on his demos, but the Devi stuff is just beyond my level of filth.

I'd like a Shoegazer, Aenima, or Hyperion. Mellowtone posted a mod to the Hyp with a starve knob to make it more bassy and less fuzz on some settings.
I'd have to agree though... The demo's for the Devi stuff pretty much suck. I've heard some good demo's from users... and that's where I'm getting my desire for Devi.
