ugh! lotsa feedback at last show on friend's amp'd acoustic. we even had the amp in front of the guitar itself. is it just cause the place had concrete floors? hadn't been a problem at other venues.

thinking about it, we practice in a concrete basement with no problems. any advice?

Does the acoustic have the hole mounted type pickup? If not, they make a "feedback buster" that goes in the hole, it helps alot. Other than that...I've had feedback be uncontrollable in the same room I've had it controllable? So the feedback monster will make noise when he likes.

You could also try rolling off some of the highs in the amp too.

How hot was the output gain from the onboard transducer? I've played a few acoustics that would simply wail despite relatively low monitor/FOS volume, simply because the preamp volume was above 2:00~3:00 and it was getting all sensitive to everything within earshot.

Concrete tends to be good. You mount decks on concrete slabs to stop feedback. If you can you also put foam underneath the concrete as well though.

looks like feedback busters are inexpensive, but i like these ones cause they're perty (but more expensive)
