Is $80 worth it for a DD-3?

Found a listing on CL for one at this price.

Yes, I'm finally considering buying a delay pedal despite my previous bitching about how much I hated them.

it's a good pedal, it does what it is suppose to, and it self oscilates. I had one, i sold it to buy a dd-20, i think i liked the digital delay on the dd3 better then on the dd20, but they're probably the same. I think mike has a video demo of it.
The dl7 (i think that's the name) from ibanez it's shipper and does more stuff, but people complain they broke a lot i think...

80 is th ehigh end of the range for this around here. I see them for 50-70 fairly regularly...But, here in So Cal there is alot more used gear onthe market..If I wanted one I would buy it. If I was unssure or not in a hurry I would hold off and keep an eye out.

Thanks. I'll hold out then. Maybe get one while out in SD next month.

i got one to save space on my board, it's a really nice pedal. some harmony central reviews slate it as being too harsh and clean sounding. i've found, in my setup, i think it sounds quite rounded. i'm just running that in the fx loop of the tweed and it sounds fine.

DD-3's are idiot proof. It is quite difficult to dial in a bad sound but they obviously lack the range of the more expensive models.

Alright, I'll try to pick one up if I can find one for a decent price. The listing for one at $80 doesn't really sound like a great deal so I'll just keep searching.

I saw one on HC for $55... I'd jump on it!
