That one looks modded, is it yours?
I'm more of an overdrive guy. I have a Nobels ODR-1 that does the job. I like Big Muffs too, and Fuzz Factories, though I have neither right now.

This isn't mine, I'm just to lazy to take a picture of it...but yea, looks like he modded the switch by the tone... mine looks more like this.

I'm a Hotcake fan... They can be really nice clean or dirty. They also remind me a bit of the Rat. At least the Vintage rat I had... Cept it cleaned up well and had loads of volume.

I love my vintage IC big muff to death
but I recently started using my girlfriends old japanese boss HM pedal. it actually sounds good through my sunn amp, but not through any of my other amps

DOD Juice Box for overdrive. Fuzz Faces for fuzz.
Distortion is lame.

Box of Rock. Simple but great. That and a TU2 are usually all I ever plug into before the amp for most occasions.

I like too much dirt to narrow it down to one pedal. These all have their charm:
Proco RAT
EHX Big Muff (Green Version)
Crowther HotCake
Box Of Rock
Marshall GV-2 Guvnor Plus
Fulltone OCD
FuzzFace with Fuller Mods
Klon

That yellow box reminds me, another old favorite are old yellow box DOD 250 Overdrives. It was the only pedal I used in my last band.

I love what I have and use them all in regular rotation, all for different reasons:
Overdrive
G2D Creamtone: light gain/boost
BJF Emerald Green: voxy light/mid gain
BJF Dyna Red: mid/heavy gain
Danelectro Cool Cat Distortion: more compressed mid/heavy gain
Blackstone Mosfet OD: simply delightful amplike low/mid gain twin channel
Moollon Distortion: fave "JTM45esque" addition to an OD'd amp
Fuzz
Frantone Creampuff: A Stoner Muff deluxe, stupid and scooped to my heart's content

Overdrive:
Visual Sound Route 66
Boss Blues Driver
Ibanez DS7 LoFi (TONE LOK)
Vantage Analog Delay (used only to kick my preamp in the teeth)
Distortion:
Ibanez CF7 (TONE LOK)
ProCo You Dirty Rat
Fuzz:
Devi Ever Soda Mizer
Devi Ever Soda Mizer +
Effector 13 Disater Fuzz Of Doom
MXR Blue Box
Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz
NYC Big Muff Pi with red LED mod

Hot Cake, Box of Rock, Green Muff. That about does it for me
the Hot Cake especially, can go from so suttle you can leave it on as a clean tone w/ a slight grit, or crank it up and it will compete w/ the muffs

For classic big rock sounds, ProCo RAT, hands down.
