Tiny Terror with matching orage 2x12 cabinet...Well under 1000.... Awesome amp...great recording tones. Limited clean headroom though..

Tha squire classic vibe teles are awesome and are cheap for the quality. And I have owned a Fencer custom shop tele, mexi standard, mexi custom, and a RobOg custom tele. I will put the squire up there for playability

What kind of ROCK TONES are you looking for?
I would suggest a COMBO.
Most likely a Peavey Classic 50 or Delta Blues.
The Peavey Classic amps are great workhorses that cover clean to dirty quite well.

Buy that AD30HTC that is in the shop near mike for £599.
Buy a matching Orange cab for the remainder.
Or a Marshall cab to look less wanky.
if any of the Americans recommend a Fender, ignore them.
Buy a head means less to travel with for recording. Use whatever cab is in the studio.

Decent advice... I kind of want a head/cab setup though, no real reason other than I fancy it...

Others I've considered are:
VOX AC30CCH (although they seem a bit fragile)

A lot of that stuff sounds liek some clean Fendery action going on, defintely. The IDLEWILD song has like some bitey marshally distortion for that chorus section, but has the clean stuff in the middle.
BASSMAN 10?????
