HOG has a few.
they are pretty fucking pricey.
im thinking like the cheapest i have ever heard of was right around 16,000 or so
i think robroe said that house of guitars in new york had a white one and a blue one or something like that.

...Just wait on ebay. Every few months an emaciated body/neck shows up and goes for stupid cheap...
Well maybe not stupid cheap, as you'd still have to find a way to replicate the hardware/pickups etc... But this is Shortscale, and we improvise.

A Mustang bass pickup would only cover four of your strings... Not that it wouldn't probably still work despite that (hell, Fender just used 6 pole single coils in Musicmaster basses), but you'd probably wind up compromising...
I'd either use half of a Mustang pickup, then cut up and rewind a single coil, or just go with one of the other myriad five string pickups on the market. The same can be said of the bridge; choose at your leisure.
Also, if you're patient and have a hacksaw and files (or better yet, a router), making a pickguard yourself isn't really too much of a task at all. Any good project is a learning experience.

i forgot all about that withhh the pickup so ill have to look for pickups too.
i might try to make my own..... how hard can it be right? it will be my first major project so i should do most of it myself....
cool then i should have it done by july earliest for the parts to turn up and next december at the latest because they might take a while to turn up..
you know what if i cant find pickups then i'll use a 5 string p bass pickup
