Hofner elec/acoustic

This was given to my grandsons,they broke the HS and generally fucked it up in a week.They gave it to me after they trashed it.It has/had a tag inside said"Hofner" and in hand written "1968".Also a small stamped"Made in Germany".Has some weird pickup built into the bridge with a volume pot mounted on the bridge.I glued up the HS.Just not sure what to do with it.I can get the original case for it.
