I had one for a while- nice amp when you dialed it in, but took fucking days of tweaking to find a good tone. Been playing a guys from work peavy transtube 15 watt practice amp- surprisingly good! Lovely warm clean channel and a very 80s sounding crunch sound.

Maybe if you tweak dials like Dan Agosto.

It's got like, what... 5 dials a channel at most?

i think.... the reverb sucks if its at 0 it sounds the same as if it were at 10
ugly but reliable

Some times the ugliest gear is the best gear, but then some times the ugliest gear us terrible.

I had the 15 watt, 8" speaker version of that amp. So in theory, it was nothing like that amp.

However, I remember the reverb never working, and the eq did pretty much nothing. When someone gave me a mgd30fx marshall, I wondered why noone else found this magical piece of gear. Then of course I tried out valve amps, and was blown away.

I have used the more higher wattage transtube amps, and they sound okay for what they do, and their eq's work well.

eh the eq is heavenly on mine just the reverb isnt good you could barely hear it ill just buy a fender unit or a reverb pedal down the line

To be fair, it was also when I was a n00b, so it could have changed he sound and I just didnt notice. They're pretty good amps when all is said and done. Reliable if not anything else.
