Looks like someone has broken it for you, which is nice.
Why is it crap in a pedal chain? Is it a Germanium Fuzz? Have you tried it first in line?

2. If it's not working in your pedal chain it is poorly designed.
I would return it and ask for a refund.

I don't think you've done anything wrong, that trimpot should not look like that.

change some patch cables (put cheap one) and I think it all right now.....

Good news. The trimpot thing is not great though. I would expect better for the money.

There's no chance that you need an allen key for it is there? Or maybe one of those triangular type things? That'd weird to put on something that is supposed to by regulated by the end user, like.
